Cool Point Shahi Tukda near Jama Masjib

Shahi Tukda or Double Ka Meetha as the name suggests is a royal dessert which is a rich, exotic bread pudding with lots of dry fruits and cardamom. Cool Point started with a small shop on the Matia Mahal road near Jama Masjid. Old Delhi They sell the royal delicacy in a big parath along with vanilla and mango ice cream as accompaniments. It is one of the oldest eateries which has been selling the famous dessert for more than 20 years!

 

शाही टुकड़ा या डबल का मीठा जैसा कि नाम से पता चलता है, 

एक शाही मिठाई है जो एक समृद्ध, विदेशी ब्रेड का हलवा है जिसमें बहुत सारे सूखे मेवे और

अधिक वर्षों से प्रसिद्ध मिठाई बेच रहा है!

 

How Prepare Shahi Tukda

The Shahi Tukda is prepared with corn flour custard, nuts and the bread is fried in pure desi ghee. They use Mohan Ghee, which is a famous ghee brand in Karol Bagh. The tins of the ghee are displayed well at Cool Point to show that their bread has been fried in pure desi ghee. The served the royal treat piping hot. The combination of the Shahi Tukra with chilled ice cream is truly magical. Though you will have to ask for it because they normally serve it without the ice cream. Their is a complete contrast between both the treats but the textures combine really well.
